By using Apple’s ‘Find My’ app, a man was able to track down the thieves who stole his belongings from his car in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

In a Facebook post, Arvin Tharan explained that the men took his MacBook Pros, iPad, and watch, all of which can be tracked as long as they are charged.

Arvin said he tracked down the men within an hour of his car being broken into, and that they were “happily chilling” at a coffee shop in Sri Petaling.

He said he turned to the app after CCTV footage failed to reveal what had happened to his car.

“I drove to the nearest police station and asked for immediate assistance because I could still track them,” he said.

“Upon reaching the coffee shop, the cops advised me to look for the men myself as the thieves might spot them.”

Arvin goes on to say that after spotting the man with his watch, he approached him and pretended to order food.

He then ordered the plainclothes officers to arrest the suspects, noting that one of them had 16 records of multiple car break-ins.

As the culprit was being handcuffed, he was asked by the officer who else did he commit the crime with, to which he said, “Satu orang (only me)”.
