A woman was recently harassed by a food delivery rider because he (the rider) assumed she gave him a bad rating for his service.

The woman, known as Tharshiny, shared her experience on Twitter along with screenshots of her conversation with the rider.

She said that she gave the rider five stars after receiving her meal. However, when she started receiving numerous nasty WhatsApp messages from an unidentified number, she was in for the shock of her life when she realised it was the rider.

“I ordered food on Shopee food. I gave the delivery guy and the food five stars. Sound like an unproblematic story right. Nope. This is what happened,” she tweeted.

“How are some employees so entitled? 1 star or 5 stars, they shouldn’t harass and abuse the customers.”

“Hey! I travelled such a long distance to send you your food and you dropped my rating. Stupid. It’s enough to be dumb, but you are dumb and not pretty,” the rider texted Tharshiny on Whatsapp.

To which she replied, “Stupid, I gave you five stars. Why are you harassing me on WhatsApp?”

The rider continued to attack her, even going so far as to call her out on her size, but he refused to accept that he might have mistaken her for someone else.

Not enough with the horror he was giving her on Whatsapp, the rider also called Tharshini multiple times.

“I’ve heard so many girls complain about delivery guys misbehaving because they have their numbers. But I never once thought it was still prevalent. So tell me, do I need to be all dressed up to receive my delivery in my own home? Using words like ‘pukimak, babi, hodoh & so on?”

“No one deserves to be harassed or abused like that. We customers are not punching bags. No I don’t owe u to look pretty. Nor do I deserve to be abused like that even if I had given him a bad review. Do you even know how review works? Why do you have goons working for you Shopee?” she said.

Other Twitter users showed their support for her on the platform, some even giving her tips on what to do when she has another unpleasant delivery experience. Others suggested that she change her initial five-star rating to a measly one-star one.
