The doggos seem to be making headlines these past few days and we are all for it.
The latest incident involved a very sulky (and dramatic) doggo that found itself in a rather dangerous situation which prompted a call to the fire and rescue department.
In a video that went viral recently, a Malaysian fireman can be seen trying to coax a dog to get to safety after it got stuck in the corner of a high-rise building’s ledge.
The unidentified fireman all set up with a safety harness can be seen sitting on the ledge with the dog, which appears to be sulking by refusing to move.
The fireman is seen trying to entice the dog with food in the 37-second video shared by Fire and Rescue Services Department Malaysia on its Facebook page.
However, the dog ignored the fireman by looking away, which amused netizens.
While the firefighter was attempting to save the dog, four of his colleagues stood nearby.
“It’s not easy persuading this one, got to offer some sweet talk…” wrote the department in a cheeky caption.
The post has been shared 20,000 times and received over 7,000 comments.
Some users joked that they would love to be persuaded by the fireman in the same way while others commended him for rescuing the dog.
The Penang Fire and Rescue Department director Saadon Mokhtar said the incident took place at about 3:00 pm on Wednesday (Jan. 11).
“We received a call that a stray dog was stuck on the seventh floor of an apartment along Jalan Teluk Kumbar.
“We manage to rescue the dog and bring it down safely. It was then released at a different area as a precautionary measure,” he said, adding that they were perplexed as to how the dog managed to go over a high wall and end up being stuck there.
