What, can’t Malaysian men have generous packages?
Two Malaysian men were detained by Singaporean authorities at the Woodlands Checkpoint for attempting to smuggle weed into the island republic … and their plan was foiled by the fact that their crotches were overflowing with marijuana.
The suspects, both 20, were stopped for inspection by Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers ar 6.45pm on Tuesday.
ICA officers found that the two had suspiciously large bulges on their groins and backs, prompting their detention.
The suspects were trying to smuggle in 1.9kg of cannabis spread out over four blocks. The weed was estimated to have a street value of SGD62,000 (RM173,620).
The Malay Mail Online reports that Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau are now investigating the two under the Misuse of Drugs Act. The law states that anyone convicted of trying to smuggle more than 500 grammes of cannabis can be sentenced to death.
