Malaysia has requested that Interpol locate scandal-hit banker, and reigning king of the friendzone, Jho Low

Baby, have you seen him?
Baby, have you seen him?

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has stated that the Malaysian government has formally forwarded a request to Interpol with hopes of locating businessman Low Taek Jho.

You may know him as Jho Low, or as we sometimes like to think of him, King of the Friendzone, where Miranda Kerr is his proverbial platonic queen.

Zahid added that while they have yet to receive any information on his whereabouts, he is confident that Interpol “will act professionally.”

The deputy PM, who is also home minister, was replying to Mohamed Azmin Ali (PKR-Gombak), who requested that there be additional questioning of Low, after Singaporean prosecutors deemed him the central figure in probes to the financial dealings of 1MDB.

Azmin asked where the home ministry stood on the matter, and Zahid revealed that Interpol had been contacted for assistance on locating the ephemeral banker (which, btw, would be a great name for your memoirs, Mr Low).

A Singaporean court filing alleges that some $US1 billion that was to be invested by 1MDB as part of a joint venture with PetroSaudi International Ltd, was instead diverted to a bank account that was beneficially owned by Low.

He’s been MIA from the public eye ever since. Dun dun.
