Malaysia Airlines’ website became the target of a hacker group calling themselves ‘Cyber Caliphate’ this morning.
Those who tried to access the site before 10am today would have seen that the usual homepage image was replaced with that of a MAS plane along with the words ‘404 — Plane Not Found’ and ‘Hacked by Cyber Caliphate’. Two Twitter accounts, @umgrobert and @umg_chris, are mentioned.
The page title said ‘Isis will prevail’. At the bottom of the page, the words: Copyright: ISIS LLC.
The Malaysian Insider reports that only TM’s Unifi service subscribers were sent to the page.
