Another day, another case of an animal rescue. This time, it’s a Malay woman who reportedly saw a car intentionally hit a dog while it stood by the roadside. As the mongrel yelped in pain, she called her friend for help and gave the animal some water. Netizens praised the woman, known on Facebook as Ziezie Zeyta, for her kindness to the creature.

In an effort secure the costs of surgery, which amount to RM1500 for two weeks of warding and medicine, she put out a call for help to the public for donations and posted images of the animal’s X-ray scans showing its broken left leg on Facebook.
