PM Department protection officer ‘flips his popcorn’ at KL cinema, allegedly tells staff and customers he is ‘top gangster’

Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Department had the indignity of being dragged into a movie theater fracas after an officer currently serving in its Protection Division (UPS) was arrested for flashing a pistol in a Damansara Utama shopping complex.

The Tuesday afternoon incident (got no job, is it?) was the 48-year-old suspect tell a 19-year-old cinema usher that he was the “top gangster” in the area, and then allegedly brandished a pistol, hoping for the usher to allow him and his friends to be seated.

The teenager had previously declined the request of a couple with the officer, citing that the screening room was not yet open to the public. Responding as though an affront was made upon their mother, by one of the officer’s movie-going pals punched the teen just doing his job in the face.

Well, that escalated rather quickly for a 3pm show.

Alerted by the commotion, the cinema manager quickly arrived on the scene and tried in vain to calm the punters down.

It was then that the security officer is alleged to have referred to himself as a “top gangster” (cringe), and then pointed his gun at cinema workers and customers.

Following the incident, the usher then filed a police report, and statements were recorded by the victims.

If power were taking a trip, this gentleman’s passport would have already spontaneously combusted. If power were intoxicating (Ed. Note: It is), then this is the guy who’s black-out wasted with his head in the toilet, touching the bowl water.

Police detained the suspect Wednesday afternoon in the Damansara Utama neighborhood of Kuala Lumpur, and also seized a Glock-type pistol containing seven bullets.

Authorities also confiscated a vehicle, a card holder labelled with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) logo, an MACC badge, an MACC authority card, with the man’s rank being stated as Deputy Enforcer. Police also took in a pistol magazine containing 13 bullets.

After interrogations, the suspect admitted that he was not, in fact, a top gangster, but a deputy enforcer at the MACC, currently serving in the Prime Minister’s Department.

Citizens be warned – he’s currently out on bail, while his case is being investigated.

Hear anyone refer to themselves as a “top gangster” while trying to cut the queue at the supermarket? Take a pic, and email that sh*t to us, STAT, please.
