Lorry With RM4 Million Worth of Hard Drives Hijacked In SS8

A 20-tonne lorry carrying a cargo of RM4 million worth of hard drives was hijacked soon after it left the Western Digital plant in SS8 Petaling Jaya on Wednesday night.

At around 11pm on Wednesday, the lorry’s path was blocked by four men in four cars – a Proton Waja, a Hyundai Sonata, and an BMW –  just 200 meters from the Western Digital facility.

The four hijackers then forced the lorry driver to exit the vehicle by smashing the fron window of the lorry with a parang. Three of the men then drove off with the lorry, while the fourth escaped in the BMW. The two cars left at the scene were later confirmed to have been reported missing in nearby Kampung Subang.

The lorry driver, while unharmed, was taken to a nearby hospital to monitor for heart problems.
