Lightning strike kills two in Malacca

We hope you’ve been taking shelter since thunderstorms took over the weather recently, because in Malacca, two men fell victim to a lightning strike that hit Taman Muhibbah.

The New Straits Times reports that the two — Shahrul Nazrin Roslan, 25, and Zul Effendi Abdullah, 23 — were struck at 4.15pm yesterday.

Two others, Mohd Saad Md Rasul, 41, and Shahnor Hafizi Shahmat, 27, sustained injuries and were taken to the Melaka Hospital for treatment. One more person escaped unhurt.

According to the daily, the men had been collecting ‘madu kelulut’ when the incident happened.
