Lego fan Muhammad Danish passes away after long battle with cancer :(

Lego fan Muhammad Danish reportedly passed away at his home early Wednesday morning.

According to The Star Online, the 11-year-old boy — who had been bravely fighting osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer — had not been able to eat or drink since Monday.

Wan Shahriza Wan Ab Rahman, the leader of the ‘Legoland For Danish’ project, told the news portal that the boy’s family rushed him to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Monday afternoon.

“The doctors inserted a feeding tube in him on Monday night and fed him milk through the tube.

“He was discharged on Tuesday and he passed away at 4am today (Wednesday),” she was quoted as saying.

‘Legoland For Danish’ was a project organised by a group of kind-hearted Malaysians to help bring Legoland, located in Johor Baru, to Muhammad Danish as he was too weak to make the trip.

Last month, the group turned up at Muhammad Danish’s Kuala Selangor house with boxes and boxes of Lego contributed by Legoland Malaysia Resort.

Several Lego mascots such as Lego Darth Vader, Lego Policeman and Lego Builder, as well as LOM-LUG – a Lego user group in Malaysia – and ‘Star Wars’ fan group 501st Legion Malaysia Outpost also showed up at his home.

The team also decorated Muhammad Danish’s room with Lego to make it look like a Legoland Malaysia Hotel room.

Dick Yoong, the country manager of Lego Malaysia, told the news portal that the team was saddened by the news of his passing.

“May Danish find peace in heaven. My deepest thanks also to all who have come forward to support Danish’s journey,” he was quoted by the news portal as saying.

Rest in peace, buddy. You’re in a better place now 🙁
