Legendary singer Wan Aishah Wan Ariffin blasts company that used her image for weight-loss product

Legendary crooner Wan Aishah Wan Ariffin, season four champion of the veterans-only edition of Gegar Vaganza, has taken a weight-loss product to task after they used an image of her to promote their product without her consent.

UNAUTHORIZED

The 52-year-old took to her Instagram account to detail that the company Malia Mellia had used her image, attributing her weight loss to their product, on their social page. They have since issued an apology to the Janji Manismu singer, whose prior heyday had been in the 1980s.

“We would like to apologize to Wan Aishah Wan Ariffin for using her photos without permission and for the misunderstanding that she had consumed our products to help with her weight loss,” read part of the apology from Malia Mellia, via their Instagram account.

Aishah responded on her Instagram, writing: “If my fans didn’t inform me about this, you’ll continue to make profit by simply using other people’s photos.

Adding: “If you want someone to endorse someone as an ambassador, it has to come with a legitimate contract.”

No money, no funny Malia Mellia. Aishah may have reigned supreme in the ’80s but her social media acumen is straight-up 2018 KOL.
