Landslide in Cameron Highlands kills pregnant woman, child

A pregnant woman along with her one-year-old baby were killed in an early morning landslide in Cameron Highlands.

The New Straits Times’ Sylvia Looi reports that the woman was eight months pregnant. The incident that killed M. Nithiahwaty, 24, and her child R. Rubeniswaran, occurred at 5.29am.

Nithiahwaty’s husband, V.Raja, 41, survived after he was found alive under the rubble at 7.13am, the NST reported.
