Kuala Lumpur ranked sixth best city to live for expats in latest survey

Internations, the world’s largest expat community organization, has published their latest survey ranking the best cities to live in for 2018, and our fair metropolis has ranked sixth this year.

Taking into account a series of factors, the group asked its members to rank 72 cities around the world, considering elements such as quality of life, work-life balance, ease of getting settled, cost of living and housing quality.

In the category of easiest place to locate housing, Kuala Lumpur ranked first, and in the category of affordability, it placed sixth (with 86% of the respondents finding it easy, with a 52% global average).

Of the 72 cities, KL ranked fourth easiest to get settled in, with 88% of the respondents saying that the city is uncomplicated and easy to navigate.

This year’s top three cities are Taipei, Taiwan; Singapore; and Manama, Bahrain; most of the top ten was dominated by Asian cities.

Top three worst cities? Riyadh and Jeddah in alcohol-free Saudi Arabia, and Rome, Italy.

Counting our blessings every day, here.
