Twelve new services under KTM Bhd’s electric train service (ETS) began operations yesterday, offering a 25 per cent discount on fares for passengers boarding specific trains.
According to a recent Bernama report, seven new daily trips would be introduced for its Gold Class — four from Ipoh to KL Sentral (departs at 7.30am and arrives at 9.50am); Butterworth to KL Sentral (departs at 3pm and arrives at 6.25pm) and two trips from KL Sentral to Butterworth (departs at 9.15am and arrives at 1.07pm/ departs at 8pm and arrives at 11.52pm).
KTMB had said last week that its Platinum Class would have three new daily services to KL Sentral from Butterworth and Padang Besar.
Tickets for adults may be bought at a 25 percent discount from Jan 18 to 30.
