Tomorrow, everyone’s favourite travel fair — the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair — is happening at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).
Anyone who has ever been to that part of the city during the fair knows the pain of moving through traffic (of the human and motorised varieties). So here’s an alternative for those looking to avoid the pain of looking for a parking spot.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is offering a 25 percent discount on normal-priced train tickets for all Matta fair visitors heading into the city via its commuter service.
In order to get this discount, however, you’ll have to: 1) travel between March 13 and 15; 2) travel to the KL Sentral Station only; and 3) travel with at least one more person.
KTMB’s Marketing and Customer Service senior manager, Mohd Noordin Kimi had said last month: “Besides that, when purchasing the tickets, the customers must say out the password, ‘KTMB Matta Fair’.”
Anything to avoid the traffic trap.
