Beginning July 1, KTM Bhd will begin a shuttle service from Johor Bahru to Woodlands in Singapore as a means of reducing traffic along the Johor Causeway.
Bernama reports that 14 KTM Intercity trains will serve commuters who have to travel daily between the two countries.
According to KTM, seven trains will operate from the JB Sentral Station while the rest will be based at the Woodlands Station.
Service is expected to start at 5.30am until 10pm at JB Sentral while at Woodlands, commuters can hop on the train from 6.30am to 11pm. Passengers from JB would have to pay RM5 while those stepping in from Singapore are charged S$5 for one way journeys.
