There are some instances when Malaysians really can get along – and it won’t surprise you to know that this time, it’s food (or getting) it that served as the catalyst, once again.
The Church of Mary Immaculate in Bukit Padang, Kota Kinabalu, is being applauded by Malaysian netizens for opening its parking lot for visitors to a nearby Ramadan bazaar, set up for operation during the Muslim holy fasting month.
Facebook user Daniel Doughty’s post on the church’s gracious gesture saw him describing the interfaith act of tolerance as emblematic of Sabah’s culture:
