Malaysian High Court salaciously heard today that in addition to rampant levels of VX nerve agent, Kim Jong-Nam, subject of alleged international assassination, also had traces of drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction in his blood.

On one hand, at least he had a final hurrah before his untimely death.

On the other, can we not let the deceased lay dead with a little dignity?

It would seem not. The Sun adds that part of today’s proceedings included the defense sifting through his last worn T-shirt, bandages and uh… soiled underwear.

Where’s that dignity? Oh right, it took the first flight outta here!

Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) head of Forensics, Dr Mohd Shah Mahmood agreed with the defense’s assertion that there were six medications flowing through Jong-Nam’s body when he died. These included drugs to treat diabetes, gout, hypertension and uh… good ‘ol erectile dysfunction. Oh, and that super deadly, impossible to get hold of from even the dodgiest of pharmacies, VX nerve agent.

Meanwhile the prosecution attempted to have five paragraphs of testimony re-instated into the case. These included initial interviews with doctors and the police officer who took Jong-Nam to the clinic at KLIA2 on February 13, after he was allegedly poisoned.

The judge upheld his earlier decision to keep the paragraphs exempt, but added that they could be submitted for review of admission at the end of the hearing.

Thanks?

The case made global headlines, with equal measures of international intrigue and befuddling farce, when on February 13, two women appeared to approach the half-brother of North Korea’s ruler, and poison him, while under the watch of four North Korean men, who promptly got on flights and left.

Kim Jong-Nam, traveling as Kim Chol, died on his way to Putrajaya.

The two women, Siti Aisyah of Indonesia, and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong currently stand trial, accused of his murder. If found guilty, the sentence for the two is automatic death penalty.

The whereabouts of the four men are unknown, but it’s widely assumed they’re enjoying Pyongyang’s fall colors.
