Hold on to your steering locks: Siti Fairrah Ashykin, notoriously known as Kiki the road bully after the video of her traffic accident altercation with an elderly Chinese man went viral, joined the Selangor chapter of Malay-Muslim rights group Perkasa yesterday.
Perkasa confirmed that Kiki was perviously a member of the group’s Pahang chapter, but had decided to change branches as she spends more of her time in Selangor.
Selangor Perkasa chief Abu Bakar Yahya told The Malay Mail Online yesterday, “She came by to pick up her membership certificate and card today.”
The Selangor chapter of the often-incendiary rights group launched a fund to collect money towards “easing Siti Fairrah’s burden” following her fine of RM5,000 and 240 hours’ of community work. She was convicted of mischief and causing property damage by the Kuantan Sessions Court for her actions depicted in the viral video.
Abu Bakar did not know if Kiki joined Perkasa Selangor’s ranks because of the fund. When launching the special fund for her last month, he claimed Kiki was not a Perkasa member.
“I didn’t want to ask her the reason why she joined. But it’s okay, what’s wrong with her joining? If she is low spirited, we can help keep her spirits up,” said Abu Bakar.
He went on to say that Kiki was a “good woman”, who had already publicly apologised for her mistake, and had atoned for it by paying her fine and serving out her community work sentence.
Perkasa Selangor also posted a photo of Kiki and another new registered member to its Facebook page:

Kiki was the object of much online scorn after the video of her actions went viral. In the video, she could be seen hurling racist abuse at 68-year old Sim Siak Heong after Sim hit her car in Kuantan. She had taken out a steering wheel lock and proceeded to hit Sim’s car with it, while demanding RM2,000 to repair her car.
