A wily, trigger-happy, middle-aged American woman is under arrest after deftly taking down eight policemen, five firemen, and her two landlords with an almighty pepper-spray, after refusing to leave her rented apartment over the weekend.

It is understood that the woman was to have vacated the apartment last Thursday, but instead chose to barricade herself in the unit, unbeknownst to her landlords, who passed by their Mont Kiara condo unit over the weekend to survey a space they expected to be empty.
However, empty it was not, and in a series of tragic events that somewhat, but not entirely, read like a script for a film that is one part Home Alone, with a dash of a particularly gripping episode of the Real Housewives, a lonely, 42-year-old American woman stood her ground inside a unit that was not hers to defend.
Upon arriving at the doorstep of the Jalan Persiaran Dutamas condo, the owners, a couple in their 40s, attempted to open the door. Although they found that the lock worked, it seemed that opening the door was impossible, as it had been barricaded.
Police report that after trying to enter the unit for several minutes, the door suddenly swung open, and they were met with a burst of bear-attack levels of pepper-spray from their one-time tenant. Like actual bears – here is the can she used:

Shocked, they called the police and fire department to handle the situation.
At 4:56pm, a team from the Sri Hartamas fire station, along with nearby officers, were sent to the scene to assist the couple.
Arriving at the scene, and forcing the door open, the eight officials were no match for the slinging spray of our modern-day Annie Oakley – she managed to incapacitate them too.
An officer was eventually able to reason with the woman, and she turned herself in to local law enforcement later that evening.
Police are still trying to establish why the woman went on a pepper-spraying rampage, as well as why she had yet to vacate the unit. She has since been released on bail.
And in case you were wondering guys – apparently carrying pepper spray is totally legal here in Malaysia, depending on its chemical composition. Police have warned that it should not be used to attack people.
Just how a Real Housewives: KL Expats hasn’t been produced is beyond us – this is the kind of material reality TV lives for.
