Police are investigating reports of yet more unmasked white women at the Suria KLCC shopping mall.

Two women were photographed walking toward the entrance of the mall without masks on their faces yesterday, according to a photo shared online. In Malaysia, masks are mandatory in public spaces.

“So only Karens don’t need to wear masks?” AdibahOj said, adding that KLCC might be a nest for such white over-entitled women after a similar sighting late last month.

The police took notice.

“An investigation is ongoing and the case will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor for further action,” Noor Dellhan Yahaya, Dang Wangi police force spokesperson, said in a brief statement. He also reminded the public to follow the law or face the consequences.

Three weeks ago, a woman named Kerry Harrington was fined RM3,000 (US$723) for refusing to wear a mask at the same mall.
