If you notice some thing huge and hulking in your rearview mirror, chill: it might just be RapidKL’s new double decker bus, plying its route across KL.
Kicked off yesterday, the five new double deckers are able to carry 108 passengers on their pilot route (U80) between Central Market and Shah Alam.
“This route is among those that have the highest demand for increased passenger capacity during peak hours,” COO of RapidKL Buses, Mohd Azam Omar told Bernama yesterday, during the launch ceremony.
“The buses have more seats. They are also equipped with CCTVs on both levels, and feature infoscreens for passengers’ convenience,” he said.
Mohd Azam added that the new buses will be tasked to service more routes in stages.
