Johor man beaten up for allegedly taking video of woman’s buttocks

A 27-year-old man thought he could get away with recording a woman’s buttocks at a shopping mall.

Boy, he was sadly mistaken as he was beaten up by members of the public when he reportedly tried to flee the scene.

According to Bernama, the incident happened at around 9.40pm at a shopping complex in Johor Baru.

One of the woman’s friends reportedly spotted the man following them closely behind and later caught him red-handed allegedly recording a video.

When the woman’s friend told him off, the suspect, who reportedly works as an auditor, tried to flee the scene.

However, the victim didn’t get too far as shoppers managed to chase him down and gave him a good bashing before he was handed over to the police.

As a result, the man reportedly suffered injuries to head and face.

Johor Bahru Selatan police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh told the news agency that the suspect was sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for treatment before being detained.

ACP Sulaiman lauded the members of the public for helping the police detain the man, but he also advised them against using violence when detaining a suspect.
