Johor Crown Prince shows you how to deal with Red Shirts’ silat demos

One person who is getting real sick and tired of the Red Shirts’ antics is the Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

So sick, in fact, he shot a parody video just to make fun of them.

On Sunday, the outspoken royal uploaded the video on the JOHOR Southern Tigers Facebook page showing a group of men in red shirts performing a silat demonstration, a stunt the Red Shirt movement is famous for pulling at protests.

In the video, a man is shown shouting in the middle of a circle before another ‘demonstrator’ starts whipping him with two rotans.

The camera then pans to Tunku Ismail, who then raises his right arm and fires several shots from a handgun before turning to the camera, shrugs his shoulder and walks away like a true boss:

In a caption accompanying the video, the royal said that he is not taking sides in the war between the yellow and the red shirts.

“I am on the side of the Bangsa Johor’s where it symbolizes unity. As unity is the formula of this nation moving forward, not violence and hatred.

“Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Violence and hatred is not going to make this nation a better place. Stay positive. Lots of love,” Tunku Ismail wrote.

Tunku Ismail’s parody video has since gone viral, having amassed more than 1.4 million views and shared more than 44,600 times on Facebook.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Red Shirts, Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos, thanked Tunku Ismail for responding with his own video.

He wrote on his Facebook page that the video was made just for laughs and the royal was just joking with the people:

“To me TMJ was only joking. As a king who else would he joke with but with the people.

“TMJ is a person with the people’s heart. Thank you your highness for responding with a silat demonstration,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
