An unemployed man has been charged with raping a woman he befriended over Facebook.
Mohamad Faiz Apandi, 28, was accused of committing the crime against the 21-year-old woman near a road in Brickfields in Aug 23 at 8pm.
Bernama reports that he pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court judge Azwarnida Affandi to committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature with the victim and to robbing the woman of her handphone and RM200 while armed with a knife.
Faiz also faced separate charged of armed robbery and car theft at Lorong Sentul Jaya and Jalan Ipoh respectively.
