Japanese man found hanged in Bayan Lepas apartment

After failing to get in touch with his colleague, a man has decided to visit his Japanese co-worker at his apartment only to find him dead.

According to The New Straits Times, the 28-year-old Japanese man is believed to have committed suicide by hanging himself at an apartment in Bayan Lepas on Tuesday.

The colleague who found the body had reportedly visited the man’s apartment after he failed to turned up to work and answer his phone.

The victim was reportedly attached to a factory in the area.

Southwest district police chief Superintendent Anuar Omar told the daily that a post mortem examination has been conducted.

“We have contacted the Japanese Embassy who will be handling the body.

“We are still investigating the case,” he was quoted as saying.
