Indonesian couple found bludgeoned to death at Nilai fruit farm

An Indonesian husband and wife were found bludgeoned to death at a dragon fruit farm in Batu 12 Mantin, near Nilai, yesterday.

The couple, who were in their 30s, had worked at the farm, and were believed to have been assaulted with a hard and blunt object.

The bodies of the two victims were found by the wife of the farm’s owner, 44-year old Tan Chong Kok, when they went to gather the day’s crops at 12.30pm yesterday.

“Normally, I will sound the car horn and they will come out to hand me the fruits which they had gathered. But they did not emerge today although I had sounded the horn many times. So, I told my wife to go and check their hut.

“My wife went to the hut and was shocked to find the husband lying on a bench in a room of the hut with blood on his head.

“His wife was sprawled on her back on the floor with injuries to her head and face. She is believed to be pregnant,” Tan told Bernama

Negeri Sembilan CID acting chief Supt Khoo Leng Huat said as the Indonesian couple had no identification documents, there was no information on their actual identities.

He said the motive of the double homicide was at yet undetermined and that the PDRM would investigte all possible angles.

He urged aynone with information on the case to contact the Nilai District Police Headquarters at 06-7583222 or investigation officer DSP Affendy Sulaiman at 012-6788174 or the nearest police station.
