In an ill-executed robbery, the teen who ransacked the coffers of his own workplace (mistake #1, they know who you are, and have your IC info) yesterday, has been caught by police. The 17-year-old worked at a convenience store in the Damansara Damai neighborhood of Kuala Lumpur.
Nearing the end of the work day, the teen entered the store storeroom, and had a brief chat with his co-worker (mistake #2, she knows who you are and can identify you know), who was counting the day’s earnings. Without warning, he suddenly hit (mistake #3, please, there is no need for violence) the 24-year-old victim with an iron rod, and took over RM10,000 (US$2,460) in cash.
The commotion, and his inconspicuous escape (mistake #4, gotta play it like a smooth criminal if you want to get away with it), alerted members of the public, and he was soon picked up nearby.
Police added that the suspect was still carrying the iron rod used in the attack (mistake #5, every mob movie ever tells you to drop the weapon immediately after, dude).
The female sustained injuries to her head and body. The suspect tested negative for drugs, and the case is currently under investigation.
