IKEA Malaysia will open its second — and biggest — store in Cheras soon.
Fans of the Swedish furniture maker will be able to shop at its store at Jalan Cochrane by the end of November.
“Come end November 2015, IKEA Cheras will provide more Malaysians with Swedish home furnishings that are well-designed, functional, affordable and good quality. The new IKEA store is part our overall ambition to expand in Southeast Asia. Our entry into Cheras neighbourhood reflects our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people,” Mike King, retail director of IKEA Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand said in a statement.
The store spans across 41,000 square-meter shopping space and is said to be 20 per cent bigger than its first store in Mutiara Damansara which opened in 2003.
