Now that the hot season is expected to stick with you until the end of August, it’s time to watch your water usage.
Over the next two months, water supply to the Klang Valley could run short, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) warned.
Its Corporate Communications and Public Affairs manager Priscilla Alfred told The Star Online that there was ‘no guarantee against supply disruptions’, despite the fact that most dams in Selangor were above 70 percent of its capacity.
This was because demand exceeded supply in several areas in Hulu Langat, Alfred said.
““It’s usual for usage to increase this time of year because of the hot season. So it is best for consumers to be prudent in using water during this time,” she was quoted as saying.
