Lots of water. Plenty of sunscreen. Just keep them with you at all times at least until March.
Hot and dry weather — currently in Perlis and Kedah — will scale across all of peninsular Malaysia over the next couple of months, The Rakyat Post reports.
Quoting Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Madius Tangau, it said similar weather is expected in Sabah and parts of Sarawak.
“This situation is caused by a strong El Nino phenomenon which is taking place and is expected to continue till the first quarter of 2016. The strong El Nino phenomenon may cause a decrease in rainfall of between 20% and 60% and a rise in temperature of between 0.5 degrees Celsius and 2.0 degrees Celsius compared to normal,” Madius was quoted as saying in a statement recently.
