Homeless man decapitated after being run over by Mat Rempit

A homeless man was killed instantly when he was run over by a couple of Mat Rempit on Monday night.

According to The New Straits Times, the incident happened along Jalan Persiaran Raja Muda Musa in Shah Alam at around 3.35am.

The homeless man, who was in his 50s, was reportedly crossing the three-lane road at the time when two Mat Rempit, believed to be taking part in an illegal race, crashed into him.

The first bike reportedly crashed into the victim, knocking him down. Unable to stop in time, the second bike reportedly ran over the man. 

The impact of the crash reportedly severed the man’s head from his body. 

The crash also reportedly left the homeless man with a broken leg.

The daily reported that checks revealed that the homeless man would usually cross the road at that time of the night.

Meanwhile, Klang Selatan district traffic police Investigation and Enforcement Traffic chief Md Dom Dollah told The New Straits Times that the police are currently investigating the case.

The case, according to Md Dom, will be investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1986.
