A farmer and two of his friends reportedly formed a mini blockade to prevent thieves from escaping with his cows in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan on Sunday.
According to a report by Sinar Harian, translated by The Star Online, the thieves had earlier tried to escape with the animals by shoving them into the back seat of a Perodua Bezza.
The farmer, 63-year-old Chukuni Ali, and two of his friends reportedly placed rocks in the middle of the road to prevent the thieves from leaving.
They also reportedly parked their motorcycles there to block the exit.
“We stood there and they tried to run us over, but we dodged their car.
“They then knocked the motorcycle over and swerved to the left before falling into the ditch,” Chukuni was quoted as saying.
However, the thieves reportedly managed to escape in a van that was waiting at the main road.
Port Dickson OCPD Supt Adzli Abu Shah told the Malay daily that the police are currently on the hunt for the suspects.
