Here’s how to get an iPhone 6 for RM98 without a credit card

iPhones are awesome. The price? Not so much. Even if we sign up for with a credit card installment, it’s hard to fork our a couple of hundred ringgit a month just so we could have that iPhone. Fortunately through reliable sources, there is another way of obtaining your desired smartphone, for a price of course, and that is through Berjaya-owned U-Mobile, a local Malaysian telco.

They had recently developed their U Mobile : U MicroCredit, a new device financing program allows anyone (prepaid/postpaid customers) to own a smartphone (including iPhone 6) without the need of a credit card. Here are some of the fine details on how does this program work.

Apparently the requirements are not difficult to fulfill.

Most importantly you need to be earning at least RM1000 in gross income per month.

U MicroCredit is backed by Berjaya Credit. Customers need to sign an agreement once application is approved. Monthly fee starts from RM98.

Customers will have 3 options to choose for the monthly payment. The lowest monthly payment is at RM98 for 30 months. No other additional information has been disclosed so far regarding lesser month deals such as 12 or 24 months.

The most mentionable benefit of them all would be that this micro financing program would not only be for current U Mobile postpaid customers, but even prepaid customers as well.

The program has been scheduled to launch on 17th March, in conjunction with U Mobile launching their sale of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. We’re just as excited and would probably camp outside for this launch!
