Due to the danger of heat wave and high temperatures, all schools in the northern Peninsular states of Kedah and Perlis will be closed tomorrow, the Education Minisry said today.
Its minister, Mahdzir Khalid, told Berita Harian at a press conference in Penang today that schools in Perlis were directed to shutter for two days, while those in Kedah would be closed tomorrow only.
“The directive applies to all students in the two states,” he said.
“However, teachers and other school staff members are required to perform their duties as per normal.”
