The heat of Cheras burns: Man at the center of DBKL parking debacle is now in detention

Coconuts KL warned their readers: you do not want the heat of Cheras police searching for your rage-filled, parking-impaired, entitled self.

The man at the center of yesterday’s viral video over a clamped car found this out the hard way. He’s now in police detention after officers filed a report against him.

It’s one thing to go down in Internet infamy, it’s another to have yourself and your Myvi plates video tapped, verbally assaulting and threatening officers outside a Cheras mall.

The incident occurred at 12:46pm yesterday. City hall (DBKL) officers had gone to un-clamp the vehicle, under the impression the man was going to pay the fine. They soon found out that he wasn’t going to pay, and uncle had some fight in him.

Cue the four-minute drama that got me through yesterday afternoon.
