Headless baby corpse found near factory surrounded by pack of dogs

Police in Kedah were shocked Sunday afternoon when a headless and armless body of a premature baby was found after various calls from the public were made to investigate the scene. The body was found near a factory in Batu Arang.

Free Malaysia Today reports that initial interviews with witnesses have led them to conclude that the baby’s body was surrounded, and torn apart, by several dogs. A hospital post-mortem confirmed that the baby had been dead for approximately two days before being found.

Police are currently searching for the baby’s parents, and are treating the case as a crime. Birth by secret disposal falls under Section 318 of the Penal Code, and carries a two-year prison sentence.
