A hand grenade was found near a row of shops at the Klang Sentral bus terminal in Meru yesterday, but it failed to detonate.
Police said the grenade did not explode because its components were old and rusty.
At around 10am, police were notified when passersby spotted the hand grenade outside the shops at the bus terminal.
A police bomb squad was rushed to the scene to examine and remove the grenade, after which it was taken to a nearby open area and detonated.
Police stated the grenade did not belong to either the military or police force.
