This afternoon, two brothers were reportedly shot at in what is believed to be a matter related to gang rivalry, The Star Online’s M. Kumar reports.
The incident happened in broad daylight — around 12.10pm — at a traffic light intersection on Jalan Besar Sunway, Batu Caves, the news site said.
According to the report, the siblings were in two separate cars when a third car with two men drove up and stopped them.
One of the two men got out of his vehicle and shot at both brothers before getting back into the car and speeding off with an accomplice.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ali Ahmad told The Star that police were still trying to ascertain the motive for the attack.
“The elder brother, 34, was shot in the head and is in serious condition, while the younger one, 30, was shot in the ear and cheek,” he was quoted as saying.
Both men were reportedly admitted to the Selayang Hospital.
This case comes about a week after a businessman was shot dead in broad daylight just after the Sungai Rasau toll plaza in Shah Alam.
The suspect was believed to be a professional killer.
