In the early hours of Wednesday, as Pahang football team captain Mohd Razman Roslan was watching television, a gunman opened fire at his house.
The 31-year-old had initially thought the sound came from fireworks. His wife and two children had been asleep, Bernama reports. Fire shots had been fired, destroying the rear windscreen of his Toyota Vellfire.
“When I looked outside, I saw the rear windscreen of my MPV shattered. I rushed out of the house and was shocked to find bullet slugs near the vehicle,” he was quoted as saying about the 12.30am incident.
He then reportedly rushed to lock the front door before calling the police.
Mohd Razman is reportedly as puzzled as everyone else about the motive behind the attack, telling the news agency that he had never been threatened before.
Pahang CID chief Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad told Bernama: “No one was injured in the incident. We are in the midst of determining the motive behind the shooting and it is premature to make any assumption on the incident.”
