Govt officials, Suria KLCC management to meet over relocation of BritishIndia

Government officials and the management of Suria KLCC will discuss the mall’s move to relocate premium local clothing brand  BritishIndia’s outlet.

According to Bernama, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek said the meeting — along with representatives from BritishIndia — will be held at his office in Putrajaya tomorrow.

“Let’s sit down and look at the matter together. I only ask for mutual understanding between them. It is better that we use the win-win principle,” he was quoted as saying.

Homegrown BritishIndia — a mainstay at the popular shopping mall — was recently asked to relocate to reportedly make space for a foreign brand.

“This matter also has something to do with the law and rental agreement. This is what we will look at together tomorrow (Tuesday),” Bernama quoted Hasan as saying.
