Google Play released their ‘editor’s pick’ of the 30 best apps, games and books in Malaysia. Sadly, like the list from Singapore, none of them are home-made apps from Malaysia. We’ve added a bullet points on the apps that can be found in the Singapore List of their best apps in 2014 here (ranked in no particular order):

Lumosity, Lumos Labs, Inc.

Locket Lock Screen, Locket

Yahoo News Digest, YahooEven
No, this isn’t us being overexcited with the bullet points. Ten out of ten of the apps in Malaysian’s list is also present in the Best of 2014 Apps in Singapore.
Let’s look at the list of games next:

Similar to the previous list, all ten out of the ten apps that made it into the best 2014 Games in Malaysia are also present in Singapore’s list. Then again, Singapore had a total of 30 games and apps in their list, so it shouldn’t be so surprising that Malaysia’s ten took from Singapore’s thirty.
However, Malaysia had its own list of Best Books of 2014, and it did have books that are uniquely Malaysian. This list was topped by “Memulakan Bisnes Sendiri” (“Start Your Own Business”) with a Malay version of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” ranking second.
