AirAsia, fresh from being crowned the “World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline” (again), is not letting up in pushing its brand to the world – and it’s gotten former Manchester United footie star Park Ji-Sung to help.
Naming Park its new Global Ambassador, AirAsia is celebrating the new partnership by launching a Airbus A330 with an image of the South Korean football star featured on its body.
The new A330 will be flying AirAsia X routes through Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Australia, China, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia.
“I highly resonate with their brand and will participate in AirAsia campaigns in print and video ads for consumers,” said Park, as quoted by The Star Online.
To mark this beginning of a beautiful friendship, AirAsia has also launched a limited Free Seats promotion (excluding airport tax, fuel surcharge, and other applicable fees) for all direct flights from South Korea. AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia X offer all-in fares as low as RM94 (KRW 29,900) to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok departing from Incheon while AirAsia X offers Busan to Kuala Lumpur flights from RM75 (KRW 23,900).
AirAsia Phillippines offers flights to Boracay, Manila and Cebu from Incheon starting at RM272 (KRW 86, 400) and to Boracay from Busan at RM256 (KRW 81,400).
First Manny Pacquiao, now Park Ji-Sung. We’re pretty sure AirAsia is just itching to get LeBron James on the side of one of its planes soon.
