Three girls’ stupidly dangerous stunt draws angry reactions from Netizens

There’s a fine line between #YOLO and being stupid, and these girls are definitely categorised in the latter.

Two short videos showing three women pulling a dangerous stunt have gone viral on social media while drawing lots of angry comments from Netizens.

On Sunday, Facebook user Giin Yong uploaded the videos on her personal page, and they spread like wildfire on the social media site.

In the videos, three women were seen sticking their bodies out of a black Perodua Myvi while it was swerving its way up the notoriously dangerous roads of Genting Highlands.

The driver, according to Giin, was also reportedly driving recklessly.

“While on the way up to Genting Highlands yesterday late afternoon, we saw this group of young girls doing this.

“It’s beyond stupid and reckless. An accident waiting to happen,” Giin wrote on her Facebook posting.

The videos have since been shared more than 30,000 times.

Many Netizens, after watching the videos, echoed Giin’s sentiments, calling the girls ‘stupid’ for pulling the stunt while others slammed the girls for endangering their own lives:

While the girls probably thought that it was just harmless fun, the police certainly did not think so.

Bentong Police deputy chief ASP S. Somo told news agency Bernama that the police will soon prosecute the girls for rash or negligent driving.

“The owner of the car had not used the vehicle on that day, but we have identified all those who were in the car on that occasion,” he was quoted as saying.
