Singaporeans have earned a reputation for demonstrating specific behaviors when it comes to refueling their vehicles in Malaysia, primarily due to the disparity in prices between the two countries.
For instance, a pair of individuals hailing from the Lion City was confronted at a petrol station in Johor Bahru last night after being apprehended while attempting to fill up gasoline into a barrel.
Reportedly, an individual working as a food delivery rider witnessed the incident and intervened, resulting in a heated altercation.
The entire episode was captured on video and subsequently shared online by a TikTok user with the handle @matkibot. As of the present moment, the video has garnered over 1 million views and fifty-one thousand likes.

According to the footage, two auxiliary policemen can be observed attempting to defuse the situation as the Singaporean men persist in verbally abusing the rider.
One of the individuals also accessed the rear compartment of his SUV before retrieving a suspected chain lock, seemingly attempting to provoke the rider.
The auxiliary police requested the rider’s identification card, only to have the two men make another assault attempt on the rider.
Besides barrels, there have also been instances where Singaporeans were caught shaking their car aggressively to make sure petrol is filled up to the brink. Tsk.
