Commuters using the four new Ampang LRT line stations — which begin operations this weekend — can ride for free for a whole month.
The New Straits Times reports that Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana) announced the complimentary service beginning Oct 31 (Saturday).
Single journey tokens will be given out at the customer service centres at the following stations: Sri Petaling as well as the four new stations, Awan Besar, Muhibbah, Alam Sutera and Kinrara BK5.
Prasarana president and chief executive officer, Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz was quoted as saying: “The four stations will be serviced by AMY, our new six-car trains which will operate on a new signalling system currently being developed for the entire Ampang line. We strongly recommend usage of the MyRapid Cards for traveling convenience within our networks which include both the LRT lines, the Monorail Line and Rapid KL bus network including the Bus Rapid Transit. One card is all you need.”
