Now that Christmas is done and Malaysians across the country are winding down for New Year’s Eve, Prime Minister Najib Razak has put out a friendly reminder: don’t forget to apply for Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) cash handouts before December 31.
BR1M applications for immediate distribution next year will continue to be accepted by the Federal Government until the end of this year, and the PM wants everyone (who’s qualified) to get their share by letting the government know they’re around:
Yeah, we can’t think of a better way to let people know about BR1M’s deadline than on Facebook, either.
Applicants may submit their applications online at BR1M’s official portal, or they can get the paper forms at the nearest National Internal Revenue Board (LHDN) and Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) branches and submit them there.
The first BR1M disbursement of 2016 is scheduled to roll out to qualified members of the public on January 28.
