Free bus service for Shah Alam, Klang, Subang Jaya begins today

The month of July is upon us and that means good news for people living in Shah Alam, Klang and Subang Jaya.

The Selangor state government has launched the ‘Selangorku’ free bus service — which uses Rapid KL buses — that serves passengers commuting between these three zones.

Bernama quotes Chairman of the Standing Committee for Investment, Industry (Small-Medium Enterprise), Commerce and Transportation, Datuk Teng Chang Khim as saying that 11 buses will be available for this service.

“The buses will pass through all commuter stations, local authorities (PBT), schools and government offices within three local councils namely Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK).”

“We hope to extend the service to Ampang and Kajang within this year; as we are aware of the awful traffic congestion in these two areas,” he was quoted as saying.

These buses are wheelchair-friendly and provides free WiFi access. The service is available from 6am to 9pm daily would operate every 15 minutes at these three routes.
