Four new LRT stations will begin operations tomorrow, extending the Ampang line further into the booming, dense township of Puchong.
These new stations — IOI Puchong Jaya, Pusat Bandar Puchong, Taman Perindustrian Puchong and Bandar Puteri — are set to serve some 130,000 commuters in the area.
Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) president and chief executive Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz said the last batch of new stations which opened in October last year — Awan Besar, Muhibbah, Alam Sutera and Kinrara BK5 — received massive response.
Three more stations are expected to open in June; Puchong Perdana, Puchong Prima and Putra Heights.
“These stations are currently in the final phase of construction works and undergoing some touch up before they start operation,” Azmi was quoted as saying in a report by The Malay Mail.
